(More customer reviews)I don't normally wear stud earrings, but these really caught my eye. The setting is along the lines of a tension mount, and not often something I've seen in lower cost jewelry. The ~7mm stone is a little larger than what would pass as real for an average workplace, but I'm sure it would fit in fine in certain higher profile business sectors. I'll probably save them for slightly more formal occasions.
The rhodium plating gives a well-polished, slightly chrome-y look to the setting and looks quite nice. The CZs are quite colorless, which leaves them a little flat in moderate/indirect light, but they sparkle like crazy in the sun or a higher intensity light. The broad plastic backing disk keeps them well placed on the lobe.
The only detractors I'll note: the rhodium plating is so shiny it really makes the post look out of place with its non-plated surface, but the post will be in your ear, so not really an issue. Also, while the outer cardboard box was nicely foil monogrammed, the earrings come in a tiny faux-suede drawstring bag, which, while fine as packaging, wouldn't be as well-suited for a gift presentation. They're lovely earrings that look much nicer than the price would suggest, but they may be better as a gift to yourself, rather than a gift to someone else, unless you repackaged them for a better presentation.
